Every February the American Dental Association (ADA) sponsors National Children’s Dental Health Month to raise awareness about the importance of oral health for children. Developing good habits at an early age and scheduling regular dental visits helps children to get a great start on a lifetime of healthy teeth and gums.
As a Gallery57Dental team member and mother of a three year old, my best advice is to make it fun! My daughter loves Elmo. There is a video he does about brushing your teeth and she started “brushing her teeth” by around 16 months. After she finishes I take a turn to go over her teeth to make sure she got everything. From an early age she has made it part of her routine and she looks forward to brushing her teeth with Elmo and Mommy. What have you done to get your kids into brushing their teeth?
