What is the process of obtaining Invisalign?
- Consultation. First, patients will book a consultation appointment with the team at Gallery 57 Dental to determine if they are a proper candidate for this service. The best candidates for Invisalign are individuals who have imperfections and misalignment that is mild to moderate in severity. Determining candidacy also may include x-rays to get an idea of the care needed.
- Impressions and tray creation. Once patients have chosen to have Invisalign done, our team will take 3D digital impressions. These are converted into a specialized software that sends the impressions to the Invisalign laboratory where a series of trays is custom-made for the patient. The number of trays in a patient’s treatment will vary depending on the severity of the misalignment.
- Wearing the trays to achieve results. Patients start with the first tray and wear it for two weeks before they move onto the next tray in their series. By the time they are to the last tray in their treatment, they will have a beautiful smile they are confident to share with others!
