Cluck cluck guys- don’t be such a chicken! Apparently men refuse to see a dentist until the problem is too painful – and likely too far advanced. According to Delta Dental (https://www.deltadentalins.com/oral_health/mensOralHealth.html)fewer than 50 percent of men brush their teeth twice a day. Shame on you!
For Men’s Health Month this June, try to get your act together because:
- 34% of men 30-54 years old have gum disease, which increases a man’s risk of kidney cancer, pancreatic cancer and blood cancers.
- Gum disease is seven times more common in men with erectile dysfunction
- The average man will lose 5.4 teeth by age 72. For smokers the number increases to 12.
