A recent article in the Wall Street Journal reviewed recent advances in biologic engineering to recreate the pulp, (commonly thought of as the nerve), of teeth. The article also touched on research to grow new teeth. While both of these techniques are in the very early stages it does point to the explosion in dental research and that we can expect many treatment advances over the next couple of decades. Compared to the treatment revolution other areas of health care there have been relatively few changes in routine dental care over the past 50 years. That is about to change as the advances in other areas trickle into dentistry. At Gallery57Dental, we are committed to integrating these advances into our patient care.
