Electric Handpieces
Modern electric handpieces are more efficient than traditional air turbines. This makes cavity preparation quicker, more precise, and less traumatic than with air turbines. Moreover, electrical systems are quieter! The characteristic loud hissing noise of the older air turbines are replaced by quieter, more consistent, and more efficient electrical systems.
In addition, improved asepsis and sterilization is a huge advantage with electric handpiece systems. This means that the immediate surrounding environment is cleaner and freer of bacterial and viral contaminants.
